For this project, the owners wanted to reimagine an unused space dedicated to an air conditioning unit, gas meter, and occasionally used BBQ. We collaborated to create a design with goals of low water and low maintenance (no vines), but lush in feeling, to hide the mechanical and AC, and squeeze in a lemon tree (espalier for the win!). We chose predominantly evergreen plants with pops of purple and a camellia with white winter flowers to create a serene space for the owners year-round.
